Guinea is situated in western Africa bordering the North Atlantic Ocean, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Guinea has a population of around 9,947,814 people, 1,767,200 of which live in the countrys capital and largest city Conakry. The Guinean population mainly speak French and 85% of people follow are Muslim. Guinea has a hot and humid climate with June- November experiencing monsoon-like rains.

Conakry is home to Marché Madina, one of West Africa's largest markets is a great experience. This city is also usually alive with street celebrations most weekends. Not too far away from Conakry is Cape Verga has beautiful beaches such as Bel Air and the Sobané.

Rio Muni has the largest population and approximately 93 percent of the country's land. The highest point is Pico Basile which measures up to 3,008 metres.
