Alexandria is a city and popular tourist destination in the United States of America. Alexandria is located in the east of the nation, in the state of Virginia which is part of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The city of Alexandria is situated between the Potomac River, Arlington County and Fairfax County. Alexandria has a population of over 128,200 people and is the seventh largest and highest income city in Virginia.

There are many attractions and places of interest in Alexandria, such as the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, Lee-Fendall House Museum, Christ Church, the childhood home of Robert E. Lee, Fort Ward Museum and Historic Site and the Alexandria Black History Resource Centre. Old Town is the most popular district of Alexandria with many things to do and an active night life.

Christ Church is a red brick Episcopal church which was built in 1773 and attended by two local important figures of America's history, George Washington and Robert E. Lee. Pew number 15, which was Washington's remains untouched in the sanctuary. Other historical figures who have visited the church include President Franklin D. Roosevelt, his wife and Sir Winston Churchill. The first National Day of Prayer was declared here by those important figures.

Also in Alexandria is the George Washington Masonic National Memorial which was dedicated in 1932 as an expression of the Masonic borhterhood's faith. As well as being designed and built by the Freemason's, they also funded the project by giving voluntary donations. This monument was made to resemble the Lighthouse at Alexandria which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
