South Africa is the southern most mainland country in Africa. It is situated below Nambia, Botswana, Mozambique and Swaziland and entirely surrounds the country of Lesotho. There are 11 official languages spoken in South Africa; Sepedi, Sesotho, Setswana, siSwati, Tshivenda, Xitsonga, Afrikaans, English, isiNdebele, isiXosha and isiZulu. Most commonly used of these are isiZulu, isiXosha and Afrikaans.

The capital city of South Africa is Pretoria. Johannesburg is one of the most popular cities in South Africa to visit.
