Saudi Arabia is the largest country on the Arabian Peninsula and is located in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia's capital and largest city is Riyadh, situated to the east of the centre of the country, which is home to over 4.7 million people.

Found in central region of the Arabian Peninsula is the plateau of Jejd which simply means 'upland' and is one of the main regions of modern Saudi Arabia. The highest point of Saudi Arabia rises to over 3,133 metres and is known as Jabal Sawda' while the lowest point is the Persian Gulf as sea level.
