General Information about Tel Aviv

The city of Tel Aviv which can be found along the Israeli Mediterranean coastline was originally founded back in 1909. The city was originally built near the settlement of Jaffa but as Tel Aviv's population increased and grew the two had no other option but to unite. Thought to have biblical origin Tel Aviv translate to Hill of Spring and is one of Isreal's most populated cities.

Tel Aviv is home to over three million residents and is listed as a World Cultural Heritage site by the UNESCO. Tel Aviv boasts many interesting, historical and well known sites that should not be missed. Tel Aviv is closely neighboured by the famous Nazareth which is best known for its connection with Bethlehem. There are many natural well known destinations that should not be avoided such as the Sea of Galilee, and the Dead Sea which is set at 1,269 feet below sea level.

One of Tel Aviv's most recognised features is the Azrieli Centre which are three towers in close proximity of each other. The centre tower is round is design and is located between the square and triangular tower. The Azrieli Centre one of Tel Aviv's most popular shopping destinations with a large selection of stores, restaurants, and a cinema complex. Travelling to Tel Aviv is simple with regular flights landing at the Ben-Gurion International Airport but it is also possible to travel to Tel Aviv via bus.
